About
Hugozen is a personal blog by one person. It documents how I run a network of indie sites with a crew of AI bots: agent coordination, SEO for overseas audiences, and monetization methods — practices, judgment calls and failures, not income figures. Articles are free to read. A separate archive holds 149 older posts in Chinese.
What this is
Three content lines:
- Agent coordination: how one person coordinates many AI bots and local workers: division of labour, briefs, acceptance checks, cost and key isolation.
- SEO / going overseas: how an indie site picks keywords, gets built, and gets indexed by search engines and AI search, including what GEO looks like in practice.
- Monetization: the revenue paths of a personal site network, such as ads and payments. Methods and judgment only; no income numbers.
The site also keeps 149 older posts — reading notes, technical notes, excerpts and daily-life records written between 2010-08-19 and 2024-04-04 — in the Archive. They are Chinese-only and kept as written.
Who runs it
One person, with the pen name Hugozen. No team, no editorial staff. My day job is a one-person mix of product, engineering and operations. I coordinate dozens of AI bots and look after a dozen-plus personal indie sites (tools, content sites, directories, small games, culture-themed projects). Counts are approximate, and I don't name the sites. The day-to-day work runs on a Mac Studio at home, using Claude, GPT, DeepSeek (via Ollama Cloud) and Cursor, with sites hosted on Cloudflare Pages; I write the briefs, assign the work and check the results. Personal projects are kept separate from everything else: separate model accounts and keys, separate channels. I don't write about employers or anyone's internal work here.
How it's made
- Posts are exported from a personal archive and turned into static HTML by a small Node script. No server code runs; the host only serves files.
- Hosted on Cloudflare Pages. No database, no account system, no upload endpoint.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4, enabled for visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland only after they accept (see the Privacy page).
- Images are served from this site. A few archive posts embed third-party videos.
What I write, and what I don't
I write about: agent coordination, SEO and going overseas, and monetization methods — only things I have actually done, to the extent I did them. Where I'm unsure I say so.
I don't write about: employers or company-internal work; income or revenue figures; private matters such as family, addresses, documents or health; anything I haven't done.
Free to read, and about money
Articles are free to read. I practise monetizing indie sites myself, and that practice is what the "Monetization" line is about. This site may offer products, services or consulting in the future; when it does, they will be clearly labelled and this page will be updated. Today the site has no checkout, no paywall and no ads.
Languages
The home page, this About page, the three first posts (agents, SEO, monetization) and the Privacy and Copyright pages exist in English and Chinese. Everything in the archive is Chinese-only. In short: Google Analytics 4 is the only thing that sets cookies, and only after consent in the EEA/UK/Switzerland; there are no accounts, forms or comments.
FAQ
Is this a personal blog or a company site? A personal blog, run by one person. There is no company behind it.
Do you publish revenue numbers? No. Methods and judgment only.
Does it cost anything? Are there ads? Articles are free. Today there are no ads and no checkout. I practise monetizing indie sites; this site may later offer products, services or consulting, clearly labelled.
Why are some older posts missing? On 2026-10-31 I took down 26 posts for privacy reasons, and a few more are no longer shown because of copyright risk or because they no longer fit the site. They are absent from lists, tags, RSS and the sitemap.
Can I quote or republish? Quote with attribution and a link to the original. For full republication, translation or compilation, please get consent first; since there is no public contact address, please stick to attributed quotes with a link.
What do you do, and with what tools? Product, engineering and operations rolled into one person. I coordinate dozens of AI bots and maintain a dozen-plus personal indie sites. Tools: Claude, GPT, DeepSeek (via Ollama Cloud), Cursor, Cloudflare Pages, and a Mac Studio at home that runs the workers. The sites aren't named here.
How do I contact you? There is no public mailbox, and I don't publish a contact address. To follow new posts, subscribe to the RSS feed. The Privacy and Copyright pages explain how requests are handled.
